Drop Zone
A fun & useful zippered tray pouch to organize sewing & other supplies.
The pattern includes 3 sizes. We will be making the Large size.
Kit required ($) $30 - pick up kit from the store as there are items you must complete before class
Supply list:
Sewing machine in good working order. You must be familiar with your machine.
General sewing supplies
Narrow 1/4" foot or Zipper foot
Walking foot
Wonder clips (you will need 10-20)
Black thread and full bobbin (2 small bobbins or 1 jumbo bobbin)
Removable fabric marker - Chalk marker recommended - one easily seen on dark fabric
Small safety pin
Jeans, topstitch or Microtex needle
Frixion pen or pencil
Optional but good to have:
Zipper jig
Stiletto
2 1/2" circle ruler
Glue stick or basting tape
Point turner
To Be Completed Prior to Class:
1. Sandwich the main fabric, lining fabric and Soft & Stable and quilt as desired with a walking foot.
2. Cut the quilted fabric sandwich to the measurement listed in the pattern and seal the edges.
3. Cut the coordinating fabric and interfacing as described in the pattern and label the cut pieces.
There is a sheet of labels in the kit for this purpose.
4. Put the zipper pull on the zipper.
